Privacy

This is a short summary of how Chat Linguine handles your data. It's written to be easy to read, not to be a full legal document.

What we store

When you sign in, we store your email address so we can recognise you next time.

When you have a practice conversation, we store the messages you send and the tutor's replies so you can come back to them and review your session summary.

Voice recordings

When you use the microphone, your recording is sent to our speech-to-text service just long enough to turn it into text. The audio itself is not saved on our servers — only the text transcription is kept as part of the conversation.

How we use AI

Your messages are sent to a language model provider so it can reply in your target language and suggest a natural version of what you were trying to say. We do not send your name or email address with those requests.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Your choices

You can sign out at any time. If you'd like your account and conversations deleted, send a message from the contact page and we'll take care of it.
